He waited so long as Lorelai's friend and coffee-supplier, cared for Rori just as much as he loved Lorelai, and is the kind of person I would want in my life. Jess and Rori are my favorite couple, ever. The episodes with Jess always get to me the most, he's gorgeous, and i felt that he really loosened Rori up, as well as her being good for him in obvious ways. I feel that when he grew up and became an author, he was a lot more mature and things could've worked out with them. The first three seasons we're the first I bought, not because i cared about going in order, but because i loved seeing Luke and Lorelai in the beginning and all of the Jess drama.
Yes yes yes! I adore Luke as a character in everything that he does, and when he gets that book and tape of how to fall in love in season 4 and you can just see him and it’s so obvious he’s thinking about Lorelai! And then in the very last episode when he does the whole party and the tent-cover thing for Rory - he’s just so amazing! I completely agree and they were so perfect for each other because Rory was the first person that really believed in Jess and I don’t think that he would have become an author if he hadn’t dated her, if you know what i mean? I like to imagine that in the future when Rory’s following Obama around the country she runs into Jess and they fall in love (again)! Ahahaha, i just bought the one big box that had all of them in…. I couldn’t wait!
